AFSCME Local 444 represents more than 700 skilled craft, maintenance and water treatment workers who work for the East Bay Municipal Utility District. Since 1960, we have been fighting to improve the wages, benefits, retirement security and work conditions for all our members who make the water district happen.
Every day, we stand together to make sure all workers have a voice on the job and a stake in their own future so that we can provide the best possible services to our communities.
We also work with other labor organizations and other groups in the community to ensure that the material riches of American society are more justly distributed so that all working people can realize the moral promise of American life.
