Covid Testing UPDATE – Meet and Confer
Brothers & Sisters,
AFSCME local 444 has been engaged in a meet-and-confer process with management over changes in working conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, safe working conditions and State and County orders. This is a ‘mini-bargaining’ process that is governed by the Millais-Meyers & Brawn Act (MMBA). We have put forward proposals though this process and endorsed a voluntary COVID testing program to help provide safe working conditions to benefit all of our members.
Attached (scroll down for link) are our most recent set of proposals (in black), the management’s response (in blue) and our counter proposals in red. Please review and bring your concerns and on-the-ground experience to our General Membership Meeting tomorrow (Thursday, Jan 21,2021) night to discuss. Also, communicate with your AFSCME 444 Stewards and Officers with any concerns.
